Anile & Associates (the “Firm”) proudly traces its tradition of providing its clients with exceptional service and legal expertise to its founding in 1992. In that year, at the request of his clients and colleagues, Joseph S. Anile II formed a private practice that would become the Firm. (Prior to founding the Firm, Mr. Anile had worked with regulatory agencies (the Attorney General of New York State and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission) and in private practice at Wall Street firms (Dewey & LeBoeuf (formerly, LeBoeuf, Lamb, Leiby & MacRae) and Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft (the oldest major law firm in the U.S.)).)
Under Mr. Anile’s guidance, the Firm soon became a premier “boutique” law firm with a practice focused in the areas of business law, corporate finance and securities. The Firm’s Corporate Group, managed by Mr. Anile, continues to represent leading corporate and financial institutions and related individuals in an array of transactions relating to the financial markets. Corporate Group clients typically require extensive and forward-looking legal and business expertise in the construction of complex transactions to ensure their competitiveness in a global marketplace. Our Corporate Group attorneys respond to our client’s needs with creative insights and deep familiarity with the business areas it represents. Leading companies and financial institutions have depended upon our attorneys in many seminal business transactions across a wide range of industries.
Economic turmoil has created a general need among our Corporate Group clients for wide-ranging dynamic and innovative approaches to respond to an increasingly diverse and volatile financial climate. Our attorneys realized that financial and economic restructuring for clients crosses many legal practice areas. In response to meet our increased client needs, the Firm grew to include additional practice areas.
The Firm's Litigation Group matters are diverse and include both civil and criminal matters. The Litigation Group has handled civil matters ranging from traffic (pedestrian) and motor vehicle accidents, healthcare accidents, nursing home accidents, landlord and/or tenant matters, premises liability, workplace accidents, construction accidents, medical malpractice, wrongful death, product liability, personal injury matters, business fraud matters, corporate and securities related matters (including contract and shareholder related disputes), regulatory enforcement matters, and environmental matters. The Firm’s criminal practice is equally diverse and represents defendants in matters ranging from misdemeanors to complex felonies.
The Firm's Restructuring Group practice focuses on restructuring, foreclosure, bankruptcy, insolvency, debt settlement and workout matters. The Firm’s Restructuring Group has greatly expanded due to the diverse nature of our clients and recent economic events. Restructuring Group attorneys have broad litigation experience and bankruptcy expertise to aid our clients to successfully navigate restructurings and reorganizations ranging from the simple to the extremely complex.
The Firm's Private Client Group attorneys administer diverse real estate and family law matters.
